Poor Baby

So in the midst of all the packing and cleaning today I took some time to hang with the twins. The poor babies have had virtually no attention all day seeing as their older sisters are at grandmas and grandpas, and were busy packing. Well while hanging with little Paige, she was crying a lot and so I decided to act like I was crying. She all of a sudden started making this pouting sad face.....It was so cute, so I asked Jay to take a pic while I continued to torture her. The mean things I do to get a cute pic. Well heres the outcome. I think it was worth it.

M.I.A.

So as you have probably already noticed I have been M.I.A. lately. Well it mostly has to do with me being so aggravated with my computer. LOL! As if the computer cares. I have jsut been having a real hard time lately getting pictures to upload and thats one of the main reasons I do this blog, so that friends and family can see recent pics of my brood. Well anyway i decided to get over my frustration and take a stab at the whole uploading pictures nonsense today.

Your probably wondering what we have been up to these last few days. Well we have been pretty much up to the same stuff. Just packing and getting ready to move. Only a week and a half to go..YEAH! It hasn't been all work and no play. We fit in a few outings in between all of the packing. We went to our friends last night and jay and the older girls played catch with my friends husband and his kids. The kids actually really enjoyed it. I'm happy for that because we just signed them up for softball for the summer. Then today we went 4 wheeling with our friends also, and had a really good time. I of course was extra cautious when it was my turn. The last time I went 4 wheeling with them I ended up running into a tree and knocked the wind out of myself, among many other bumps and bruises...more like a bruise to my ego. I was so embaressed. Anyhow I went on a little cruise all by myself and got through it without a run in with a tree....LOL THANK GOD! The kids had a blast too. Marie on the other hand started off having a good time until she crashed and hurt her foot...shes ok just a little sore. So thats it...thats all you have missed the last few days. The next week will be really busy trying to get all of our last bit of odds and ends in order before the big move...Yeah me...not.

Again, I wish I could share some photos with you but for some reason it is still not working. Sorry.

Yesterday we went to one of the girls favorite parks....It's really nice because its on a bouncy kind of blacktop and is shaded. Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Today is even more beautiful. Were still trying to figure out what to do. I think we might go to another one of the girls favorite parks and then maybe go to Denny's for dinner. (kids eat for free on tuesdays....Yeah!). Not much else going on just enjoying this lovely weather. Hope you all had a nice S. Patty's Day.

P.S. I would love to share some pictures with you but for some reason I can't seem to get them to load....I have tried a bunnch of times to no evail....This may just be my last post forever because im ready to break my freaking computer...LOL. Ill have to try again later. UGGH!

Baby checkup

Today we went to the doctor with the babies for their 6 month check up and shots...ewwww. That is something I can honestly say I can never get used to, is watching your babies getting shots and listen to them scream...It's gut wrenching. They did so good though. The doctor says theyre doing really well for being 6 weeks premature. Although she did say we really need to put some weight on Rose. She's very long but very skinny. Other than that things are going very well. Yeah for me and Jay doing a good job. In case anyone was wondering I just gave myself a pat on the back. Heres their progress over the last 6 months:

Rose: Birthdate 9-12-08 12:47 p.m
4 lbs. 6 oz. 18 inches
2 wks.
5 lbs. 1 oz. 18 inches

4 months
11 lbs. 13 oz (10%) 23 1/2 inches (25%)

6 months
14 lbs. (25%) 26 inches (60%)

Paige: Birthdate 9-12-08 12:46 p.m.
5lbs. 1 oz. 19 inches

5 lbs. 8 oz. 19 inches

12 lbs. 14 oz. (50%) 24 inches (50%)

6 months
16 lbs. 20 oz. (50%) 26 3/4 inches (80-85%)

Now...They've come such a long way.

Tight living quarters

As some of you already know we are moving in a couple of weeks, and I have been frantically packing for about a month now insisting that I'm going to do it right this time. Every other time we have moved in the past we still were packing boxes on moving day. I didn't want to do that this time. So now our apartment is bombarded with boxes. Every bit of free space is crammed with packed boxes which has made maneuvering in our already tight quarters even more tight. I just cant wait for it all to be over with and to be in our new home. Only 2 1/2 more weeks. New house, more space more freedom....CAN"T WAIT!
Here are some pics to give you a little bit of an idea of our living situation at the moment.

Late Aprill

My little bother Nathan is in this band called "Late Aprill" and they are really good. He plays bass for them and he is an awesome guitar player/bass player. I am so proud of him. Anyway if there are any of you from Illinois reading this they are playing at the House of Blues March 20th at 8pm. Go check them out. They're really good. They kind of sound similar to my chemical romance.

New haircut

I did it! After a year of no hair cut I finally got it all chopped off...and I mean chopped. 8 inches to be exact. The girl at the salon said she had never cut off so much hair off of one person all at one time. I'm so happy I did it. I feel so much lighter and I no longer have 2 tones. HALLELUJAH! Now all I have to do is get some color and I will be completely happy. I just didn't have the time today. Anyway here are some pics.

Im a nerd I know

The haircut withoug styling...but I did put makeup on for these pics.

I also took some random pics today of the kids. They turned out nice so I thought I would share.

Proud Mama

So we got report cards yesterday and I am so very happy to say that both my girls are doing very well. Marie got straight A's and 2 B's. Melody is only in kindergarten so they dont get grades like the older kids do. They get M's (meets requirements) or I's (improving) Kaylin got almost all M's and a couple I's which is so great. She has come a long way since the beginning of the year so I am just so proud. I attempted to take pics of the kids report cards but i couldnt get them to come out good. It's all good though I'm sure you all get the point.

Today is the Dr. Seuss cafe at the kids school. This is where they have the school library set up like a cafe. They have a fishbowl on each table with a goldfish in them. They have waiters (5th graders) dressed up like dr. seuss characters and they come to the table with menus that have all kinds of dr. seuss books on them and they take your order (which book you want to read to your kid). Its such a cute idea. I have gone the last 2 years for Marie and now that it's Melody's first year at the school I really wanted to go for her. Unfortunatly the weather is pretty nasty this morning and I dont do well driving in the rain so Im not going to make it. So needless to say I feel really bad. I think maybe I will go and read to her class at the end of the week or something to make it up to her. If that doesn't work out then theres always ice cream. That always works.

Friday at the Park

I know i'm going backwards but I thought that my first post was so long and had so many pics that if I added this with it, it would be as long as a short novel. Well we walked to the park on Friday since it was so beautiful day outside. It was a bit muddy but still fun. The babies had a blast on the baby swing and we got some good smiling pictures of them. So here they are.

Welcome to my new blog!

Hello to all who are reading. My name is Miranda and I am attempting this whole blog thing with the help of my good friend Heather. I have wanted to do something like this ever since I started reading my friends blog, but I had reservations because I am not as articulte as her and didnt really know how i would write my thoughts. Well as you can see I have put all that aside and decided to take a stab at this. So, where to begin? Well as you already know my name is Miranda and I live in Rockford Illinois with my lovely family of 6. Yes you heard me correctly...6! My family includes me, my significant other Jason and my four beautiful daughters. Their ages are 10, 5, and 6 months (i have twins). Although I still am trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I am a mother of 4 girls, I am so unbelievably happy and blessed and wouldn't want my life any different. As you can imagine my daily life is pretty hectic and theres definatly never a dull moment, but its good because it keeps me busy. Well i really dont know what else to say about my family life so i will just go into what we did this weekend.

Heres a fun fact for the day: Rockford Illinois is the home of the sock monkey. We went to this sock monkey extravaganza this weekend and found that out. How neat! We had fun it was nice to just get out of the house...all 6 of us. The event was really expensive though, it cost $22 just for us to get in and then you had to pay an extra $20/person to make a sock monkey. CRAZY! So anyway we decided to not do the sock monkey and jsut stick to all of the free events seeing we already paid $22. The kids loved all of the art projects they got to do. We also got to go through the little meuseum, which told about the history of rockford and the sock monkey which was neat. So without further ado here are some pictures from our little trip.
