YIKES!
I read this article and watched the video from the Today show, about a woman in Indonesia giving birth to a 19 lb. baby. All I can say is YIKES, and OUCH! Although she did deliver it via c-section, but my goodness can you even imagine. The pic is of the newborn baby next to an average size newborn. The comparison is insane. See for yourself.

Charged with blog delinquancy.
I have officially charged myself with "Blog delinquancy." Yup you heard me right. "Blog Delinquancy." So lock me up and throw away the key....Just kidding. I can't believe it has been over 3 months since my last post. I really have no excuse for why that is other than I have been just plain lazy. We have done many things, seen many faces and been many places since my last post. We have had HUGE milestones happen, one being that my twins are now 1 year old. ((sob)). We had a huge birthday party for them. There were exactly 64 people at the party. We also had the most beautiful weather that day. It was perfect.

Time has flown by so fast. Another huge milestone is that my 2 older girls have moved up a grade. Marie is now in 5th grade, and Melody is now in 1st grade. I cant believe that, its insane, to say the least. They both love their school and their new teachers this year. I miss them being little.
My big 5th grader and my big 1st grader on their 1st day of school.
We have had visits from good friends. My good friend Heather and her family visited from Kansas and stayed with us for a couple of days, they even got to be here for the twins bday party. That was just so nice to be able to share that with my good friend.
I just love this pic of Heather and Tyler (my good friends from Kansas)
Im sure there are many other things I could share with you that have taken place thses last few months but I just cant seem to think of all of them at the moment. At least I have shared the bigger events and happenings from the last few months. Im hoping to make this (my blog)a daily priority again as I did in the beginning. We'll see what happens.

Its been awhile
So I know I have been on hiatis for like almost a month now. And I apologize to all my readers...LOL (there only like 5 of you) but the busyness in my life has kept me away. So here is a short but sweet and to the point recap of the last 3 1/2 weeks and all the things we have done.
we have chaperoned zoo trips
we have hung out at the baseball field numerous times, in which the twins were very well behaved.
we have had 1st visits from the tooth fairy. Yeah Melody!
We have sun bathed and played in little pools.
We have gone to parks
We have ran successful businesses
And I saved the best for last....We have eaten Ice cream! Yum! Yum!
Well thats the jist of the last few weeks. I hope you enjoyed the lovely update.

"Before I Was a Mom"
I just wanted to share a really nice poem that someone posted on the moms meetup message board. It puts everything it means to be a mom into perspective.
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt..
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom..
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay..
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom .

March Of Dimes
We did the march for babies yesterday and we could not have asked for more beautiful weather. It was 70 degrees and sunny. We only made it to the 1 mile mark so we only walked 2 miles out of the 4 which Im ok with. The twins were getting very upset by then so it was time to go. It was real nice and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for next year. Here are some photos from the walk. There are 2 of the rockford moms group poster and my twins are on it. The girls did such a nice job on the posters.

Yeah! It's Firday!
I am so happy it is finally Friday! It seemed for some reason that this week would never end. Well anyway to start the day off I went to my girls school this morning to celebrate mothers day. It was a little event they call "Muffins for Mom." I must say that anything that has to do with yummy muffins...Im totally in. Not to mention it's free and I got to spend a whole 30 minutes with my 2 oldest girls without the twins. I love my twins but I dont get too much alone time with just my 2 older girls. So it was very nice. Then the rest of the day I was feeling pretty much like crud. I'm getting a little bit of a head cold, hopefully that goes away soon. Other than that just looking forward to the weekend. Melody has her first t-ball game which I am really looking forward to, and I am participating in the March of Dimes on sunday with my family. I am really looking forward to that as well. Then after that we are having family over. We always love to have company over. So its going to be a busy but good weekend. I HOPE! Well until next time here are some pics for you to enjoy. Have a good weekend.
